silence echoed: poetries that heal by Ashmi Sheth

Poetry is much like abstract art. Your personal history, life experience, and mood all play into how you receive the words. I certainly get the ‘struggling for mental peace and intellectual contentment’, but I also get this feeling of longing… yearning to be whole. Very earnest in its delivery. Some good lines like, “You fall in love with people, And collapse into their art.”

Healing is very much an internal focus; it cannot lie with someone else, for then it is not truly healing.

I know you poured your heart into this. This work is very much a testament to love. At times it feels more like unrequited love. In my opinion, the best poem is “The Power of She” but I might be a little biased because I am a she!

I’m left wondering if you found that silence echoed.
