I’m Daniel! I’m a big gay swede who likes everything nerdy, fashion and the written word, and the smell of paint.
Tell readers about what you do
I paint miniatures, make words on pages, make pen
and paper games happen and annoy people I like, draw monsters and even take
photographs wherever and whenever I can! Basically, if it’s fun, I do it.
Tell readers about your online presence
Well, mostly right now I’m trying to grow my Instagram and Twitter “brands”. I’m told having a platform is important these days. And it’s led to some great friends. My main goal is to, kind of, be the nice-big-brother of the internet-weirdos.
Pick one of your creations. Why this one?
Just the one? Ahum. I think I would need to go with Shieldmaiden hero Brynhildr in that case. Because Bad Squiddo Games just have some absolutely wonderful sculpts of women in actual armour, and not like. . . Metal thong things of supreme discomfort and minimal protection. And also, it was a nice break to do something more realistic after a ton of fantasy.
Imagine the best version of yourself. Who is that?
Oh… same, but with a bit more money and a lot
less flab. Preferably living somewhere with good fishing and even better
If you could have a conversation with your younger self, what would you say?
It’s ok to be you. It’s ok to ask for help. It’s ok to come out. It’s going to be ok. Be honest with yourself, get the help you need and just be you!
Off the top of your head, who would you give a shout out to on Twitter?
A healthy mix of Starbound, a pile of miniatures a friend gave me and for some reason, alpine downhill skiing on tv. Something about idiots (I don’t like heights) in tights throwing themselves off cliffs that is very interesting.
What would you like to tell Dragons Codex readers?
Hey. Stay you. And failure is nothing but a lesson
you get to learn. Fail, try again and stay at it. You’ll get there.
